Now let’s get to the good stuff…
In a few sentences describe your business.
Gylden Fellowship and its sister site, Gylden River LRC, are parts of a Pagan library or info service. We publish extensive calendars for our region each month; also magazines, briefings and bulletins. As a moot support service, we promote Interfaith, help out with rituals and give talks at fayres. As befits any library, all our info products are free to view. Other services raise money for charity each year.
Do you work alone?
No – Gylden Fellowship is a team of contributors.
Introduce your team
Our two main admins on the Gylden Fellowship FB site are Amanda Hill and Rebecca Granshaw.
We also have a writing team of over 40 authors for Gylden Magick magazine.
What is your Mission Statement?
Gylden Community is a magickal and spiritual group. We support, promote and organize Pagan events within the Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Berkshire areas. It’s a place for all those who feel drawn to nature-based beliefs and for meeting like-minded folk.
What is your favorite part about what you do?
Helping other Pagans to learn or connect with others.
Why did you start this professional Journey?
Working on a lifetime of librarianship and publishing, it seemed that there was a lack of independent Pagan information services. Gylden Fellowship is not a moot and not a business – we are the glue that brings Pagan organizations together within a defined regional community.
What can you offer customers that your competitors can’t?        Â
Monthly magazine (digital)
Monthly calendar (digital)
Sabbat bulletins and support for moot rituals across the region
Regular, in-depth bulletins
Talks for Pagan or Interfaith events
Natural healing stand at local Pagan fayres
How would you handle a herd of cats?
Microchip them and let them run free
Tell us more about your business?
In a world of profits and the Pagan industry, we give free info and offer healing advice or products for free – at fayres, customers take our products for free, but donate to a charity box. Healing has to be free, for all magickal practitioners, imho. All our new products are added to the list of free items, eg crystal quintessences and fusion essences (crystal & flowers or fruit).
What superpower would you like to have? and why
Time-travel = to go back for events that clash on the same day.
When you are not working what do you do?
Local history and folklore research, performance storytelling and making herbal remedies.
How do you include your Pagan faith in your work?
I follow a Celtic pathway: an eclectic mix of druidry, witchcraft and a little shamanism. Covid-19 has stopped stuff, but I usually attend 10-12 Pagan events each month, including Interfaith = the local diocese has been very welcoming to Gylden Fellowship. Basically, I talk to groups on a variety of magickal topics and/or do performance storytelling sessions for them and/or heal as many as I can on my travels.
