Now a little bit about the business and the owners…

In a few sentences describe your business?

Simply Bulk Market, Colorado’s premiere zero waste and bulk store at 418 Main St. Longmont, CO. opened in May 2010

Bins and barrels greet customers as they walk in the door. One section has more than 100 jars of spices. The baking section has 10 kinds of oats. Sixteen varieties of beans and 18 varieties of rice share shelf space with cereals, nuts, trail mix and all-natural treats.

Do you work alone?

My wife and I own the store

I am a computer guy who handles the IT and social media aspects.

My wife is the brains and planner behind the business and is there most days.

What is your Mission Statement?

To reduce the usage of single use plastics and overabundance of packaging in the world.

What is your favorite part about what you do?  

Helping people discover zero waste shopping

Why did you start this professional Journey?

If fits our lifestyle and just made sense

What can you offer customers that your competitors can’t?

The ability to shop in a zero to low waste fashion that helps Midgard and our species.

How would you handle a herd of cats?

Me – Run 🙂

My wife – lie down with them

What superpower would you like to have? and why

None, just a mortal

When you are not working what do you do?

Sailing, Heathenry, biking, climbing, pretty much anything outside

How do you include your Pagan faith in your work?

To be honest, we do not promote our faith, but if we get into conversations about faith, we are open about it.
